Welcome

Thiensville, an attractive, self-governed village just one square mile in size, is located in the heart of the city of Mequon. In 1842, Jochim Heinrich Thien settled in the area and bought 148 acres. Thien laid out the plans for the village, built a mill and thus “Thiensville” was born.

The site of many historical buildings, Thiensville
is a community rooted in tradition with a vision
for the future. Known as the “mile of smiles,”
Thiensville is home to 3,235 residents. It has
a predominately small town suburban residential
character with a high quality of life created by well
maintained homes, condos and apartments.
