- Trash Collection
Village Trash collection is available to one - or two-family residences. Trash is collected on a weekly basis by Village staff and should be put out curbside before 7 a.m. on your collection day.
Your collection day is determined by your location within the Village; call Village Hall at 262-242-3720 if you have a question.
In the case of holidays or snow emergencies, trash is picked up one day later than scheduled. The following official Village Holidays would offset garbage collection by one day when they fall on a Monday or Tuesday. Example: If the Holiday is on a Monday, Monday's garbage will be collected Tuesday and Tuesday's collection would be Wednesday:
- New Year's Eve
- New Year's Day
- Memorial Day (fourth Monday in May)
- Independence Day
- Labor Day (first Monday in September)
- Christmas Eve
- Christmas Day
DumpstersRentals are available for household cleanup and remodeling projects.
The Village of Thiensville is not responsible for items which are not meant for disposal but are left within 10 feet of a resident's garbage cans on their collection day. Residents are also required to clear snow and ice from the area where the garbage cans are left to be collected. For more details, please refer to the Garbage Pickup Policy.
