Property Tax Information
Property tax bills are generally mailed out in the beginning of December of each year. The Village tax rate is determined after the approval of the budget by the Village Board in November. In addition to your municipal taxes, your bill includes taxes levied by other taxing jurisdictions.
Paying Your Property Taxes
The first installment or the full amount is due by January 31st of each year. Property tax payments can be made in person or mailed to Village Hall up until January 31st. Property tax payments are also accepted in person at the Thiensville Port Washington State Bank up until January 31st. BMO Bank in Thiensville is accepting tax payments through December 31st. Checks should be made payable to the Village of Thiensville. You can also pay your first installment taxes online.
The second installment is due by July 31st of each year. The second installment payment should be made payable to Ozaukee County Treasurer and mailed to 121 West Main Street, P.O. Box 994, Port Washington, WI 53074-0994. Second installments may also be paid at Port Washington State Bank, 197 South Main Street, Thiensville, WI 53092.
Tax Bill Text/Email Notification Program
The Ozaukee County Tax Bill Text/Email Notification Program allows taxpayers to receive messages when: 1. Tax bills are available; 2. Tax payments are received; 3. Obtain A Copy of Your Tax Bill
- Call Village Hall to request a copy of your current tax bill at 262-242-3720.
- Enter your tax key number or property address on the Ozaukee County Land Records System website.
