Pet licenses now available
at Thiensville Village Hall 

Annual licenses for dogs and cats being kept in Thiensville are now available at Thiensville Village Hall. All dogs and cats older than 5 months must have a license.

License fees are $10 for spayed or neutered dogs or cats and $15 for non-spayed dogs and cats. A late fee of $5 applies to all licenses sold after April 1. Pet owners must provide proof of an annual rabies vaccination at the time of obtaining the license.

Village residents may have up to four cats, three dogs and no more than a total of five dogs and cats.

Downloadable license application forms for dogs and cats are available on the Village website.

Licenses may be obtained at Village Hall, 250 Elm St. They are available by mail with a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

Property tax bills may be paid at Village Hall, Port Washington State Bank and BMO Harris Bank

Residents have several options for paying their 2019 property tax bills:

  • Village Hall, 250 Elm St., between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Village Hall will be open from 8 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Dec. 31.
  • Port Washington State Bank, 197 S. Main St.; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday; 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday.
  • BMO Harris Bank, 201 N. Main St., 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday; 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Saturday. The times reflect acceptance of tax payments until a half-hour before closing.
  • By Mail: Tax payments may be mailed to Village Hall, 250 Elm St., Thiensville, WI 53092. Enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope if you would like a receipt.
Refunds: If a refund of less than $100 is due, Village Hall will give the refund at the counter. Larger refunds will be mailed within 10 working days. Port Washington State Bank will process all refunds right away. BMO Harris will not issue refunds.

Tax payments may not be combined on the same check with other payments, such as sewer bills. Checks should be made payable to Village of Thiensville.

Thiensville Lifestyle Coalition begins series of Wednesday Talks Jan. 22

After a successful summer of organizing Wednesday Walks in the Village, the Thiensville Lifestyle Coalition plans a free monthly Wednesday Talks speaker series starting in January.

The first hour-long talk begins at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22 in the Community Room at Thiensville Health Alliance, 136 N. Main St.

Karen Krchma, registered dietitian nutritionist, certified biofeedback specialist and owner of New-Newtrition,  will speak on "Walking the Walk -- Transforming Weight Loss and Diet Resolutions into Actions for Positive Results."

Wednesday Talks are free and open to the public. Thiensville Lifestyle Coalition is a committee of the Thiensville Business Association.

Mequon-Thiensville Historical Society 2020 calendar available

The Mequon-Thiensville Historical Society's 2020 picture calendar is now available. The calendar features of variety of historic photos from the communities.

The calendar is available at Thiensville Village Hall, the Port Washington State Bank branches in Thiensville and Mequon and Chuck's Place, 406 N. Main St.

The cost of the calendar is $5. It is included with an annual membership to MTHS, which begins at $15.
