Work starts on Buntrock Ave. water improvements
Work started Monday on a water main project that will improve the reliability of Mequon Water Utility service. The project, which will be completed by the end of September, will provide redundancy to water supply sources to Village of Thiensville customers in the area.
The contractor, Advance Construction, will use directional drilling that will reduce the impact on roads, lawns and trees. There will be boring and receiving pits dug where they have to start and stop the drill. Fire hydrants will be installed every 300 feet. Roads and the Buntrock Avenue public parking lot will remain accessible.
The project is entirely funded by the City of Mequon Water Utility. Connection to the water utility within the Village is voluntary. If you are interested in city water, contact the Mequon Water Utility at (262) 236-8150 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
