Food Truck Night this Thursday to be followed by Movie in the Park

The next Food Truck Night in Thiensville's Village Park will take place from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. this Thursday, July 18. It will be followed by a Movie in the Park.

"How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World" will be shown at dusk from the brand-new Port Washington State Bank River Stage.

Taxes Due

Second tax payments may be made at Port Washington State Bank

Homeowners making second property tax payments, which are due July 31, may make the payment at Port Washington State Bank. The Thiensville branch is located at 197 S. Main St. Payments also may be mailed to Ozaukee County Treasurer, PO Box 994, Port Washington, WI 53074. Village Hall cannot accept mid-year property tax payments.

Thiensville Village Market is every Tuesday in Village Park

Thiensville Village Market -- the best farmers' market on the North Shore -- runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Tuesday through Oct. 15.

More than 70 vendors will be in Thiensville's Village Park with a wide selection of locally produced goods. There will be live music during the lunch hour. Village Market is organized by the Thiensville Business Association.

Thiensville Sewer Utility bills

The second quarter Thiensville sewer bills were mailed in late June. Payments are due by July 22. Rather than mailing a check or dropping it off at Village Hall, residents also have the option to sign up for automatic payments.

Customers interested in having the quarterly payments automatically withdrawn may complete  this form and return it to Thiensville Village Hall, 250 Elm St., Thiensville, WI 53092. For more information, stop by Village Hall or call 242-3720.

Cedarburg Road construction

City of Mequon road project
will affect drivers on Cedarburg Road north of Thiensville

Traffic on Cedarburg Road from Thiensville north to Cedarburg will be impacted for most of the summer by road construction. Crews will be milling the pavement and installing a new layer of asphalt. The project  includes culvert replacement, ditch repairs and tree trimming. It's anticipated work may start July 22 and run until Nov. 15. Drivers will be able to travel through the construction zone throughout the the project. The city of Mequon will conduct a public information "open house" on the project from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. tonight (Tuesday, July 16) at Mequon City Hall, 11333 N. Cedarburg Road.
